As you can imagine from its name this game is has something to do with a dream home, but which is not obvious is what are you going to be doing in the game, right? Let’s tell some things about that. “Family Feud: Dream Home” makes you a contestant at a questions and answers TV show, in which you will be playing several rounds.
When you enter the game, a kind of loud introduction is presented. Is like you actually are in the TV studio, with the public and all, and the show is beginning. In the middle of that introduction you have to choose the name of player you’ll be using in the show. A pretty cool thing about this game is that it’s a multiplayer game, so if you like you can play it with family and friends. There are allowed up to two simultaneous players, because that’s the capacity of the show. Each player can represent a team, so there will be more people playing than just two. Of course, if you prefer you can play it alone and the other contestants are played by the computer. If you play in the solo mode, you compete against the average score in each question. In team mode you compete against friends or family.
The basic game you’ll be playing on the show is as follows. The show have surveyed one hundred people about some questions. The answers range from the obvious to the dumb. You have to guess the most popular answers. Just type the answer and click the submit button. According the number of people who answer the same, the amount of points you get. You have a few seconds to answer before you get a strike. If you don’t know what to type, just click on the No Answer button to skip the question.
If you get no points on an answer, you get a strike. If you run out of time before typing the answer, you will get a strike. If you click the No Answer button, you will get a strike. When you get 3 strikes, the game is over for you.
If you beat the average score in solo mode, or you beat your opponent’s score in team mode, you go on to the fast money round. In Fast Money round you get two chances to guess the top answer for each question. If you hit or exceed 200 points, you get the Fast Money bonus.
When you first enter the game you’re asked to pick a player name, and then you reach the Main Menu, with the following options:
-Player: the first time there’s no existing player. After you create one or more, they’ll be saved. When you enter into this submenu, you’ll be asked for a name as a new player. It’s possible to have a list of different players and record their performance.
- 1 Player: this option leads you to the first game in solo mode. You’ll be guided by the host at all times, so no extra help is needed.
- 2 Players or Teams: this option leads you to the first game in team mode. You’ll be guided by the host at all times, so no extra help is needed.
- Decorate: this option leads you to the prizes screen in which you can use your points to buy items for decorating your dream home.
- Options: this is the menu from which you can set some game options like: sound effects volume, music volume, voice volume and full screen.
